Transformers Devastation Now Available – AND MENASOR!

Well they snuck this one in, but another boss to fight… Menasor! “I am going to rip your spark out and feed it to you!” Bumblebee seems to also have the “sense of humor” here as he turns around and says, “I did not see that one coming…”

They did a great job with teasing this game, along with not providing every last detail of what to expect and who you get get fight. Only if we could get to be a Decepticon!

Game is now out now!

It’s here.

Transformers Devastation Trailer E3 2015

So a ton of leaks have been happening all over the net, but finally we have something to REALLY see. To me this looks like an old fashioned combo button smasher.

The game looks great with the cell shaded renderings verse realistic rendering. Giving it a much more “cartoon” original G1 flare. Anyways check this trailer out!

Fall of Cybertron – Flashback Monday!

So continuing with last week: I give you a flash back video for Fall of Cybertron. Probably one of the best video games of the series so far. Combat, levels, and differences between the first game (War for Cybertron) and this game are nearly incomparable in regards to quality. If you have yet to play this game do not wait any longer!

Here is the E3 Trailer:

So Mondays can always be a difficult start for anyone! So lets look back at the original trailer for “War for Cybertron.” And lets never forget what happened on Cybertron many millennium ago.

Transformers Universe Concept Art

As this game starts to come to a close I would like to acknowledge how amazing the art for these guys are.

In the pictures below I have (in no particular order.) Switchblade, Brawl, Hound, Ratchet, Snowcat, Swindle, Terrorcon king (who looks a lot like Blackout), Desert map (the one that you see in the Duststorm video), Shipyard, Optimus Prime, Megatron, Bumblebee.

It would be great to see these as toys one day, especially the Dark Energon Bruticus! (Ehem no bias here!)

Transformers Universe Closing

So while this is yesterdays news, what I find interesting is that most of the Transformer community seems to be on the same page. Jagex seems to be partly to blame in this as the community really wanted an MMO and instead they got something else and in many ways what we already have in Transformers War For Cybertron and Fall of Cybertron games.

What I will say from looking at the game their concept art is phenomenal! I only hope that Hasbro takes on some of these designs and makes use of them. I will try and snag some here in the near future and post them for future reference and historical value.

Jagex is a pretty good company they have a long track record with their large game called Runescape (I played this game YEARS AGO!) I am curious as to what fell a part when making this game. Possibly the disconnect between what the Players “really” wanted vs what was written in a contract between Hasbro and Jagex. Either way its hard to say and they already expressed a lot of things will be un-answered far as the decision.

To read the article go here.

16 December 2014 – Today Jagex and Hasbro can confirm that Transformers Universe will close. This decision comes at an important time for both companies as they both realign their plans and focuses for 2015.

What does this mean for our players?

We’re hugely disappointed, but the game will be closing over the coming weeks before its full closure at 10am GMT on 31st January 2015.

As a team, we can’t thank players enough for the support that they have shown us over the last few years of development, and even more so during our BETA period.

What’s next?

The shutdown period will begin from today. As part of the winding down we will be refunding all those that have purchased a Founders Pack, as well as anyone that has purchased relic bundles and starter packs. These refunds should be all processed in the next 30 days. In addition we will be closing the ability for new players to make accounts, those of you that already have accounts will continue to be able to use them until the closure date.

If you haven’t received a refund after 16th January 2015 and believe you should have, then please contact the Jagex customer services team (tu_refunds@support.jagex.com). We will also be pushing an update live today that will switch off the ability for players to buy any more relic packs, or starter bundles.

As mentioned, on 31st Jan 2015 @ 10am GMT we will be shutting down all servers and forums and will freeze all Transformers Universe related accounts. These accounts will then be live for another 60 days (approx.) for any final queries before deletion on 31st March 2015.

Between now and the date of closure the Jagex CM team will continue to operate on the forums and we will provide relevant updates on the website as necessary.

If you have any queries about your account or refunds please contact our customer support team on tu_refunds@support.jagex.com. Please understand that they may be very busy during this time but they will respond as quickly as possible.

Thank You

Once again we want to thank all of the players that have played Transformers Universe and all those that have worked on the project. We’re sure you have thoughts and feelings that you’d like to share on this, so please do so on our forums. Please bear in mind that this is obviously a challenging time for all involved, especially the CM team. There will be plenty of things we can’t comment on, so please respect their position.

Sincerely

Transformers Universe Development Team
